Carol Masden Simpson was born in Avon, Illinois.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Augustana College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and President of Mortar Board.  She received a Juris Doctor (cum laude) degree at William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul Minnesota.  She joined the firm in 1986, having formerly served as trust officer of the Farmers and Merchants State Bank in Bushnell, Illinois.  She concentrates her practice in the areas of estate and trust planning and administration, taxation, real estate and agricultural law.

Carol is a member of the Knox County and Illinois State Bar Associations.  She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of ATG Trust Company, Chicago, Illinois and of Attorney’s Title Guaranty Fund, Champaign, Illinois.   Carol is a founding member and past president of the Western Illinois Estate and Financial Planning Council.  She is also a member of the board of directors of the Galesburg Community Foundation and the Trinity Lutheran Church council.
