S. David Simpson - Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation and Business Law Attorney

S. David Simpson was born in Galesburg, Illinois. He received his undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University in 1967 and his law degree from Washburn University (cum laude) in 1975. He concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, auto accidents, workers’ compensation and commercial transactions.

Dave served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force from 1968-1972. He is a member of the Knox County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and Litigation Counsel of America.

Dave has a peer revenue rating from Martindale-Hubbell of AV, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards, and was listed in 2006 and 2007 in Illinois Super Lawyers, a publication of law and politics and Chicago Magazine.

Dave has served on numerous municipal and civic boards. He served as a member and Chairman of the Galesburg Cottage Hospital Board of Trustees and was a member of the Board of Trustees for the Spoon River Community Mental Health Center (now Bridgeway) from 1978 to 1993. He served as a trustee of the Police Pension Fund and served as well on the Board of Directors of the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce, the Galesburg Regional Economic Development Association (GREDA) and the Prairie Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Dave has been an Eagle Scout since 1958.
