Elisa M. Tanner

Elisa M. Tanner was born in Galesburg, Illinois and grew up in Knoxville. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree (cum laude) in Administration of Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science degree (cum laude) in Sociology from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois in 2003.  While at Bradley, she actively participated in the school's Mock Trial Team, acting as the team's Vice President from '01-'02 and the team's President from '02-'03.  Elisa received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2006. She concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, estate and trust planning and administration, and property law.
 
During law school, she spent the summer of 2004 studying in Vienna, Austria at the University of Vienna. While in law school, she was an active participant on the school's Trial Advocacy Team, as well as a co-coach of one of the two Trial Ad's National Teams in 2005.  After graduation law school, Elisa moved home to Knoxville where she currently resides with her husband Aaron, and their family.
 
Elisa is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Knox County Bar Association.  She is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity.  Elisa currently volunteers with the Knox County Teen Court.
